Milwaukee 650922 Product Accessories
|
The 11 amp Sawzall from Milwaukee is durable and super light -- weighing in at just 7 pounds, for the best power-to-weight ratio in its class. This small but tough saw offers a variable speed trigger that sends the blade from 0-2,800 strokes per minute, with a 3/4-inch stroke length and a Quik-Lok blade clamp for fast, tool-less blade changes.
The 6509-22 is chock full of convenience features that will make it a go-to pick that never gathers dust in your garage. Its rubber boot provides superior gripping for real control and exceptional accuracy, and the adjustable shoe gives you longer blade life and more cut control. You can even clamp the blades upside down for special cutting circumstances. Double insulated with a double-bearing wobble plate mechanism for smoother handling, this saw also boasts a heavy-duty 'S' jacket and an 8-foot, 2-wire cord.
This Sawzall uses standard 1/2-inch shank Sawzall blades, and one is included with this kit -- plus a carrying case to keep everything together and organized.
Applications
The 6509-22 is the perfect choice for any task that requires a reciprocating saw; and depending on your Sawzall blade choice, you'll find that it cuts easily through wood and plastics, metal, pipes, and even wood with nails in it.
Choosing a Sawzall Blade
When selecting a Sawzall blade, first consider your project. Each Sawzall blade style has a series of icons on its packaging -- and these icons demonstrate the materials which the blades are best-suited to cut. There's a separate icon for a variety of materials, including wood, plastics, wood with nails, and metal.

Next, decide on the proper blade shape to suit your project. Sloped blades are best for plunge cutting, straight blades are ideal for edge cutting, and scroll blades are used for cutting curved or circular shapes.
Finally, be sure to pick a blade with the proper Teeth Per Inch (TPI). See the chart below for more information.

Milwaukee Sawzall
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Great saw for a great price. Not to heavy, yet has plenty of power to get the job done. This thing cuts great. Can’t wait to use it again and again. I like it so much I look for any job I can do with this thing. Great tool.
Good Replacement
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I replaced an old Craftsman with this one. The Craftsman still works fine but changing blades was a pain with a hex wrench. I have only made a few cuts in wood with the Milwaukee so far and it was easy to control even plunge cutting. Blade changes are easy with just a twist of the blade release. The saw is well balanced and has a good weight to it. It will get put through the paces here shortly when I start cutting I beams with it. If first impressions are anything to go by I feel it will not disappoint me. If it does I will update the review accordingly.
Milwaukee never diasppoints me

I am a professional cabinet installer/builder. It is not that often that I need a sawzall but when I do need one; I really need it bad for removing studs rapidly. I find this saw a little heavier than my old milwaukee but it works very well. Changing blades is a dream come true with this saw, no fiting, no problems.
Best reciprocating saw,period!

I’ve worked in construction for close to 30 years.I have a sawzall that I purchased 20 yrs ago.Still works great!Just favor my newer one because of the quick blade change. The Milwaukee sawzall is the best reciprocating saw on the market.
First impressions
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
For a c-note it is a good quality tool that I expect to last many many years. At this point, I only have one complaint and I believe it will cure itself with use.
The quick-change coupler that holds the blades is EXTREMELY TIGHT. Inserting or removing blades is a chore. If the blades were a smidgin thinner, it would be pretty slick. I am using Milwaukee brand blades too so I can’t blame it on “cheap blades”. I think that with use it will loosen up but for now, it is very snug…yes I’m twisting the coupler, it is just tight. I don’t regret the purchase, I believe it will loosen up with time. Plenty of power, nice case, good saw.
Great Tool

I knew nothing about what my husband wanted in the way of a sawzall but what amp he wanted & that it was not to be battery operated. I found all the information I needed in the description of the tool & the picture you showed was exactly what i received in the mail! My husband was very happy with his birthday present, it has done everything he wanted. Thank you!
